New green business cars
To assist fleet managers and business car owners in their search for the best business car to lease, we have put together our take on a recently-revealed list of the greenest new business vehicles on the market.
A study from J.D. Power and Associates consumer ratings shows that Toyota leads the market for environmentally-friendly mid-size vehicles. In a list of 30 top models, Toyota got seven mentions, General Motors six, Hyundai four and Ford three, whilst Honda, MINI, Smart and Nissan appeared on the list twice each.
New hybrid technology made the list eight times: the Ford Escape Hybrid, Nissan Altima Hybrid, Honda Civic Hybrid, Toyota Camry Hybrid, Lexus RX 400h, Toyota Highlander Hybrid, Mercury Mariner Hybrid and Toyota Prius.
Our favourites of the 22 non-hybrid vehicles are the Ford focus, Honda Civic, Honda Fit, Hyundai accent, Hyundai Elantra, Kia Rio, Kia Spectra, Mini Cooper, MINI Cooper S, Nissan sentra, Nissan Versa, Saturn Astra, Smart Fortwo Convertible, Smart Fortwo Coupe, Toyota Corolla, Toyota Matrix and the Toyota Yaris.
